Synthetic Ceramides Derived from C18-Sphingosine
When using analytical instruments such as mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance, well-defined ceramides are needed for accurate identification of unknown compounds. In addition, synthetic ceramides eliminate the structural variation found in natural ceramides, simplifying experimental results. Matreya offers ceramides containing sphingosine bases of various chain lengths as well as the sphingosine analogs dihydrosphingosine and phytosphingosine. The available acyl chains include saturated, unsaturated, hydroxy, fluorescent, deuterated, and biotinylated fatty acids.
